The Parliament of Sierra Leone has officially ratified a historic list of international treaties and protocols, including the Beijing Treaty on Audiovisual Performances, the Marrakesh Treaty, key WIPO conventions, and ARIPO protocols.

This milestone reinforces Sierra Leone’s commitment to:

1. Protecting creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs.

2. Expanding access to knowledge and cultural works.

3. Aligning with global standards in intellectual property rights.

From the Berne Convention to the Patent Law Treaty, and from the Hague Agreement to the Banjul Protocol, Sierra Leone is now firmly positioned to foster innovation, safeguard cultural heritage, and empower its creative industries.

A new chapter begins — innovation, creativity, and IP protection for national development!
