The OARG is a highly strategic partner to the business community and other stakeholders, and is mandated to ensure an efficient and effective administration of and registration of entities such as business registration, land transactions, industrial property, marriages and administration of the estates of deceased persons as mandated by law. It is a highly strategic partner to businesses and stakeholders, and a catalyst for the creation of an enabling environment for doing business in Sierra Leone. Due to legislative and institutional reforms implemented by the Government with the assistance of the World Bank through the Investment Finance Community (IFC), and the Investment Climate Facility for Africa (ICF), Sierra Leone has tremendously reduced the processes for the start of a business, and has created a One Stop Shop housing the OARG National Revenue Authority, and the Freetown City Council, in the process of automating all its records, rehabilitated, refurbished, and equipped its Freetown Office, and established three offices in the provincial towns, thus affording accessibility in the delivery of our services to a wider populace in Sierra Leone.

One of the measures we took during the COVID 19 pandemic to reduce personal interactions ,is to select days within the week that clerks will deposit and collect their conveyances and other instruments. Only designated clerks with proper complimentary cards are allowed to access the Building. Deposit Days Mondays and Thursdays Collect/receive Fridays and Mondays.
